The Hispanic American Club of Palm Coast was founded in 1987. The first members were seven families who wanted to keep alive the cultures of the different Latin American Countries and Spain. They wanted to preserve the language and to be ambassadors of the customs, culture and folklore in North East Florida. The objective of the club is to provide its members with social and cultural activities, entertainment and recreation. Every year $500.00 scholarships are awarded to Hispanic descendant students graduating from Flagler Palm Coast High School. Members also donate their time and knowledge, serving as translators for the judicial and health systems and helping counselors with problem students in the schools.
Today the Club has over 250 members and has a modern up to date club house facility offering social functions every week. There is ample parking, over 2400 square feet of meeting space, superb service, and the latest in audio and video facilities. Dues and prices are modest and are tax deductible under IRS regulation 501(c)7. Those of Hispanic descent or who are married to a Hispanic can become regular members. The Club welcomes all members who are not of Hispanic descent to join our group as associate members. All are expected to lend their energy, talent and effort for a better community. All our events are conducted in English and Spanish. The music is definitely of the Latino beat. The Club is also available for private parties, meetings and functions at very reasonable rates.
